After a couple of months of travelling parts of the world, I’ve decided to put a couple of the photos up on this blog. City by city, and in no particular order, I’ll post one or more of my favourite photos from each place. Unfortunately somewhere along the way I neglected to back up my photos and managed to annoy my Mac so much that it just decided to delete a section of them. Devastating at the time, at least a computer can never take away the memories from you.
This was my second time to SF, and I loved it just as much this time. Home to the magnificently orange Golden Gate Bridge and the many steep hills, at least the cable cars that run through the city offer an option for weary legs. I headed along the piers towards Pier 39 to see the sea lions sun baking and splashing into the water. I also walked along the beautiful bay with Alcatraz glowing in the afternoon sun, passing the docked boats and the Golden Gate bridge and set up with a tripod to take a few photos at sunset. You also can’t go past a visit to Union Square (and the Cheesecake Factory!) and the wonderfully crooked Lombard Street. Unfortunately the hydrangeas weren’t in season this time (being December I’ll show forgiveness!) so I had a go at a long exposure at night instead.
