After arriving in London in February, we bought a car and decided to travel around the south of England and explore. Being winter we had a few days of rain which made the photography side of things tricky, but luckily one morning we decided to get up for sunrise over the sea and we weren’t disappointed!
The Jurassic coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is spectacular and well worth a trip to Dorset, especially if this part of the world is in your backyard. We stayed at a cute little B&B in Swanage and got up early to beat the sun. Drove to the coast and parked the car and walked about 20 minutes to the coast at Old Harry Rocks, 3 giant chalk rock formations protruding from the water.
I had my Sony A7ii, my tripod and a couple of ND filters.
Not far away is Durdle Door, also worth a trip!
The sea is a beautiful jade green, and I can even imagine swimming here on a hot day! I never thought the south coast would be this pretty! If you’ve never been, add it to your list!
